About The Pizza Stop

The year was 2009. The place, Southern Shores, North Carolina. Our founder, Dan Beck, realized that the Outer Banks was hungry for irresistible, signature pizzas, pasta and more, served up with authentic southern hospitality. The answer was Pizza Stop – a cozy hangout with a welcoming atmosphere and some of the best, most original tastes on the beach. It quickly became the place where families, friends and vacationers came to enjoy one-of-a-kind meals and memories, time and again. The rest, as they say, is history.

Everyone knows a great New York style pizza starts with great pizza crust. Our hand tossed dough is made fresh daily and to get just the right consistency, we duplicate the mineral content of the pure spring water shipped in from the mountains. That’s why our pizza crust always bakes up crisp and chewy. Our pizza sauce is made from certified organic tomatoes from the San Jaoquin Valley in California and are hand selected for their PH and viscosity. Organic veggies from a local purveyo are added and the toppings are prepared at our restaurant daily; we use generous portions of the highest quality mozzarella we can find. The pizza is then baked in an old style stone oven. This method may take a little longer to cook a pizza, but we feel that it gives you, our customers, a much tastier version than the new air ovens.
 
Our goal and promise to our customers is for them to receive the finest, freshest, hot pizza on the Outer Banks.

And the menu doesn't stop with pizza. We also offer authentic Northeast sub-style sandwiches, classic pastas, heaping salads, mouth-watering deserts and our famous wings.
